Moby
So our life went from busy to complete madness as our first new arrival was Roobarb ( Trufallie Cashew) , she is from a lovely breeding by my friend Nikki who has made history as this is the first UK litter born that will be registered at the Kennel Club.

A month later we had another arrival and sweet Moby appeared in the middle of the night rather stressed out as he had been on a journey over a couple of days from Poland. He settled very quickly and is delightful  with his command of English getting better daily.

Having 2 puppies is not only hard work but also very time consuming as it is important to treat them as individuals but as I have now given up work I have all the time it needs.

Novaforesta Joss Stone at 3 weeks

Novaforesta Joss Stone is a brown female with a little white stripe on her chest, previously known as pink collar. She is quite a brave puppy so is coping well with the larger boys!

Happy Birthday to Novaforesta 'E' litter 5 years old

Time flies and these beautiful puppies are 5 years old today, proud parents being Betsy and Bachus.
November is a busy time for puppies born, as Bepops pups were 6 years old yesterday.
We still miss Betsy, so seeing her pups reach the milestone of 5 years is lovely, and of course her first litter will be 7 years old next March.
Lets hope all the Birthday boys and girls are spoilt today.

Bobby the Barbet at 11 months

Another lively boy from Bepop and Jedi at 11 months old, this was blue collar boy now known as Bobby.
Be lovely one day to see this boy in the show ring in France, but perhaps a different show to Rugby as 2 excitable boys could be a handful. Actually by the time they have their 1st Birthday they will be calm :)

Hallie is in season

The sweet Charamese Hermione aka Hallie is in season which means in our household big excitement.
As I said before, trying to catch up but with a Husband just off mountaineering and my Mother deciding to go to Canada at the drop of a hat, life is never normal here!. Next week I will have 6 dogs and 2 cats living here :)

Shoot No.2 for Martha the Barbet

Well, Martha survived her 2nd Shoot yesterday and she definitely proved that she is not gun-shy and she is not a chaser. Once again we had a lot of deer yesterday on the drives, it is quite scary to see a deer heading straight at you.
Martha was more distracted yesterday as often Julian and I were in different places, quite sweet really that finding one of us was more important than a pheasant, and what was even more interesting is that she air scented every time.

Novaforesta Imperial Aka Hugo

I am enjoying my last day with my mini Bepop, he is so good and then so naughty and why do puppies just eat everything that they shouldn't!

Novaforesta Duplo

I had a lovely visit today, from Duplo and family.Duplo met Martha and  I would say he was rather bemused by her, she desperately wanted a mad run around the garden and he was enjoying the smells in the garden (remember Betsy and Bepop in season!). Duplo is a very calm boy, wonderful to groom and bath and it was great to catch up with his owners. Duplo also has a crochet hook at the end of his tail, similar to a Briard, not many Barbets have this.

Grandma Betsy with her grandchildren

Hallie and Martha, what a beautiful family of Barbets. How lucky am I?

Martha hiding from the mad snow dogs

She so wanted to play but it was definately safer under the trees, even Bobby ran inside when the girls started boxing in the snow. Betsy and Bepop play real rough, and most games end up with Bepop getting into such an excitable state that she mounts Betsy.....so the game ends and poor Betsy looks rather bewildered!

Barbets love snow

Is Betsy stubborn? daft? or just plain happy?
She loves snow and becomes like a garden ornament, she will just sit for hours.

Spoilt dogs

Bless them, they were cold, wet and very tired and too little to leave to drip dry in the utility room.

Naughty Hallie

Now this settee was bought for us (Humans) to be able to sit in the evenings and  have some quality time in the kitchen with the dogs. Hallie has different ideas about the settee, it is certainly her launch pad for attacking Bobby as he walks past, if she stands on the arms of the settee she has a great view of the entire kitchen and as she is now a qualified counter-surfer she can see any food left out from her increased height! We have a few times managed to quietly sit on the settee without her knowledge as if she spots you, her manners disappear and within seconds she will land on your lap, throw herself backwards for the ultimate tummy rub. It is rather sweet, but I do wonder what would happen if someone ever came to our house that didn't like dogs.
Hallie is growing up rather nicely, she has a brilliant coat still and a lovely brown hue to her curls, so some days she looks completely brown and other days she looks black, its a bit like owning 2 dogs. The best news of all is that Bobby has learnt to share his toys with Hallie, they spend most of their time together and the best game is a piece of cardboard that measures an inch square, they must both hold it with just one tooth, and their heads look like one, but hey it keeps them quiet and they seem to enjoy the challenge!

Barbet puppy news

Duplo at 8 weeks old
I am very pleased to say that Novaforesta Duplo is the proud Daddy of 3 pups born in Finland. He was a beautiful pup and always very sweet, so lets hope he has passed his genes on.
Above shows Duplo in France after his confirmation, he is on the left with the white flash on his chest. That was one of our weekend away trips and brings back such good memories. Hopefully we have 3 lined up for 2013, and I am already looking forward to it, as we do have alot of laughs.

A big congrats to Duplo and his new wife Emma, and welcome to their 3 new puppies, photos when I get them.
